Plasmie

Remembers your work. Right on your Mac.

A little pink blob that lives beside the notch. It keeps notes on your work day, files what’s worth keeping, and answers when you ask. Powered by Apple Intelligence, on device.

Download for Mac

Plasmie is a Mac app. Open this page on your Mac to download it.

Version 0.11.0. Requires a Mac with Apple silicon and macOS 26 or later, with Apple Intelligence turned on.

Hi! I’m Plasmie.

What it does each day.

Connect Slack, GitHub and your other work apps. Plasmie reads them every hour and files notes overnight.

  1. Every hour

Reads the last hour from the apps you connected: Slack, GitHub, Confluence, Outlook, local git and Claude Code. Anything that looks like a password, key or token is removed before it’s saved.

  2. Every hour

Updates today’s digest, a short summary written on your Mac.

  3. Around 2:30 am

Files what’s worth keeping as tagged notes. If it isn’t sure, the note waits for your OK.

  4. Next morning

Ask what you decided yesterday. ⌃⌥⌘K, from any app.

Work Outlook accounts may need IT approval.

Just ask.

Press ⌃⌥⌘K in any app and ask about your work. Plasmie answers from your notes, on device.

  • Answers come only from what’s in your notes. The notes it used are listed under the answer.
  • Every source is a link. Click one to open the note.
  • Nothing leaves your Mac to answer.
Ask about your work

    Example with made-up notes.

    Stays on your Mac.

Plasmie reads your work. So all of its thinking happens on your Mac.

    On-device intelligence.
Summaries, filing and answers all run on Apple’s on-device model. Never Private Cloud Compute. Never another AI service.
    The app doesn’t track you.
No analytics, no telemetry, no crash reports. Every prompt sent to the model is logged on your Mac, so you can check.
    Off until you say so.
Network connectors start switched off. Each one you turn on reads only your own account, on its own service.
    One download, at setup.
The search engine and its models, about 4 GB. After that, only your connectors use the network, and iCloud, if you turn it on.
    Sign-ins stay in Keychain.
Tokens live in your Mac’s login Keychain, never in a plain file. Reset Plasmie removes them.
    iCloud, if you want it.
Off by default. Turn it on to read filed notes and daily digests on iPhone or iPad. Raw captures stay on your Mac.

Plain Markdown. In a folder you choose.

Your notes are ordinary files in ~/knowledge, or any folder you pick. Read and edit them right in Plasmie, or open the same folder in Obsidian.

Already keep notes? Point Plasmie at them. It adds what it needs alongside, and never moves or rewrites yours on its own.

Map shows your notes as a graph and suggests links between related ones. They’re written into your notes only if you ask.

If you ever remove Plasmie, Reset Plasmie deletes its background jobs, settings, logs and the sign-ins it saved in your Keychain. It saves a restore point of your notes first and never deletes them.

    Install Plasmie.

    How to install

    1. Open Plasmie.dmg and drag Plasmie onto Applications.

    2. Open Plasmie from Applications. When your Mac warns you, click Done. (It warns because Plasmie isn’t from the App Store.)

    3. Go to System Settings › Privacy & Security. Click Open Anyway and enter your password. You only do this once.

    4. Plasmie checks your Mac, asks where to keep your notes, and sets itself up. You can keep working while it does.
